Super Easy Mango Smoothie Recipe

This free mango smoothie recipe is simple to make and absolutely delicious!

I absolutely love mango smoothies.

Why? For starters, I love mango as a fruit.  Perfectly sweet, with a nice tropical twist...it makes an amazing smoothie ingredient that also has some incredible nutrition benefits.

It’s just one of those fruits that always makes me feel cool and instantly happy…I guess because it reminds me of being on a tropical beach in Mexico, buying those refreshing mango snacks from the vendors.

This recipe is simple, and you probably already have most of the ingredients in your kitchen…

Peach & Mango Smoothie Recipe

Before starting, gather up the following ingredients for this mango and peach smoothie recipe so you’re ready.

½ of a whole fresh mango – peel and chop into 1-inch chunks (OR 1 cup frozen mango chunks)

1 whole small or medium peach, chopped into 1-inch chunks

1 ½ cups fresh squeezed orange juice – the juice from about 2 oranges (or use 1 ½ cups bottled orange juice)

Optional: 1 tablespoon plain Greek yogurt (nonfat)

Optional: 1 tablespoon brown rice protein powder

1 cup ice cubes*

*Leave out the ice or put in less if you are using frozen mango chunks.

Get Blending!

Once you have the ingredients gathered, it’s super easy to make this smoothie recipe.

Add the ingredients to your blender in the order listed above.

It takes less than a minute…start on a high setting like “Ice Crush,” and work your way down to lower settings as it blends.

Taste some with a spoon and adjust your quantities:

  • If your smoothie is too liquidy, add more ice and/or more fruit.
  • If your smoothie is too thick and not blending well, add more liquid.

I like my smoothies to have a thicker consistency, more like a milk shake, so I often add more ice.

But you might want to add more liquid if you like your smoothies with a smoother consistency, more like juice.

Enjoy!

That’s it! It was super easy, right?

Once you finish blending and you have reached your desired consistency, just pour it into a glass and enjoy.

Of course, feel free to get fancy and add garnishes, like a slice of peach on the rim of the glass, or a fun cool straw.

Possible Variations

So there you have it, a super easy mango smoothie recipe. I hope you liked this tropical smoothie and now you see how easy it is to make delicious tropical drinks.

Here are a few possible variations you may want to consider:

  • Liquids – Consider different varieties of milk or just plain water instead of orange juice (to cut out the sugar calories).
  • Protein powder - I like the neutral taste of brown rice protein powder, but there are many other varieties. I don’t usually like chocolate-flavored protein powders in tropical smoothies…I save that for my yummy chocolate smoothie recipes.
  • Other fruits – Feel free to toss in whatever fruits you have on hand in your kitchen! Especially if you have other tropical fruits like papaya, coconut or pineapple. Strawberries are great too.
  • Greens – Easily make this a surprisingly delicious green smoothie by adding spinach.
  • Yogurt - Greek yogurt is great in smoothies. But if you are making a vegan smoothie, leave it out or add some soy yogurt for the same texture.
